Hello good friends

Life is wonderful at the foundation this year. It seems that it is so wonderful for the people in charge of healing the broken souls seeking help, that they don’t need me. I don’t think they ever really need me as much as I needed them. I hope to be needed for a few minutes before giving up the ghost.

I met all sorts of wonderful people over the years and if even a small percent of these decent human beings considered me to also be wonderful, then it was time well spent. Perhaps I’ll receive a telephone call one day asking for my assistance. As long as they don’t call me on the red phone, I’ll be very happy to assist in rescuing any people on the verge of defying their pre-programmed will to survive. Or if anyone needs a little unconditional positive support and guidance in entering the peaceful tunnel with the little white light at the end, I might be their man.

Many poor souls came to the foundation with the same question, “what are human beings for?” I could never answer that question and perhaps that is the reason my presence wasn’t as helpful as I wished it could have been. I went through a lot of pain for a lot or years wrestling with important questions about the purpose of human beings and couldn’t find any answers that made sense to me.

The only people I’ve come across over the years with an uncorrupted purpose on this planet have been volunteer firemen. When I get blue and think about the tunnel, it’s off to a small town I go and make a beeline to the volunteer fire department. Some volunteer fire departments are more friendly than others but most welcome me after I buy some new equipment for them.

Billy told me that the Brothers Karamazov found their purpose in heaven.

Hey Mack, your headlight is busted.

  1. The purpose of life is to provide a vessel for Spirit to inhabit, and pursue its will. Ultimately, we are needed to evolve into the type of being that Spirit can use to create the universe via time travel.

  2. We're going to need a lot of volunteer firemen to patrol the whole universe. I hope other galaxies keep Southern Comfort in stock.

  3. According to Dicky Dawkins it's all about genes trying to replicate themselves, but I don't think he has all the answers. Humans exist so the Universe can be aware of itself.

  4. Hello,

You are a very kind man always ready to help in any way you can. This is a wonderful quality which few people have.

What are human beings for? This is a great question but the answer according to me is very simple. To live a happy life singing and praising our Creator. We are here only for a short period and we will go back to our Creator. I know you will not accept this. It doesn't matter. But this is how I look at life.

You can always find some useful things to do if you look around. It need not necessarily be money but your physical presence such as visiting the sick at the hospitals. So many good things you can do without spending money.

I hope you will find some useful things to do and no one is going to call you for helping them. You have to seek for useful activities and get involved in them.

    Best wishes

  5. gb - Good point, or maybe we exist to amuse the gods like i saw on a star trek episode.

Joseph - thank you joseph, your are a true gentleman, An excellent role model for me. i'll try to clean up my language.

I certainly accept your view of the creator and returning to him/her after our time is done on the planet. Not only do I accept your view, I hope your right. But I tend to believe that you may not be right.

  6. Some good answers above. Plus... we exist simply because we do. Actually, we are here against all odds.

  7. I'm pretty sure that we're here by accident and it's a delightful accident with full cable and a reliable car.

  8. Accident? Well, many of them, it's not like we just showed up one day, but evolved through quirks of nature.

  9. Good evening Mr. Rosewater. An interesting post. I'm not sure why we are here but I am going to enjoy the ride as long as I can. I do have my moments when I think I am ready to clock out, but then I remember I should see how this all plays out because things aren't too shabby for Mr. Shife.

We are simply god in evolution, deal with it, it isn't a simple journey.
